Kidnapped 2 By Neko Part 5 Justin was the first to wake up. He waited nervously for the others to wake up. It wasn’t long till Mandy and Lance got up. They joined Justin in the waiting room down stairs. “Hi.” Mandy said looking over at him. “Good morning.” Justin said. “Is any one else up?” Lance asked. “No I don’t think so.” Justin said. Justin appeared to be deep in thought. “Don’t worry Justin, she loves you.” Mandy said trying to make him feel better. “She does?” Justin asked suddenly perking up. “Yeah she does. She’s just a little confused right now.” Mandy explained. “Who’s confused?” Chris asked coming into their conversation. “Katy.” Mandy said. “Oh.” Chris said sitting down next to Justin. “Was any one else up yet?” Justin asked. “I think Joey may have been getting up but I’m not sure.” Chris said. “So what’s the plan for today?” Lance asked. “We are going to rent a car and drive to that town I told you about. Once there we’ll ask around see if anyone had seen her.” Mandy said. “Okay I’ll go see about getting us a car.” Chris said getting up. “I’ll go with you.” Justin said following Chris. “We’ll wait here for the others.” Lance yelled after them then sat down next to Mandy and put his arm around her. Mandy looked over at him. Lance put his hand on her chin then pulled her closer. Then he kissed her. The kissed was long and passionate. “Boy you two don’t waste any time.” Brandi said joining them. “We can’t help it.” Mandy explained pulling away from Lance. Lance smiled then looked at Brandi. “Is any one else up?” Lance asked. “Yeah Joey was. I think he was going to go ahead and wake up JC and Kim.” Brandi said. “Where’s everybody else?” Brandi asked. “They went to see about getting a car.” Mandy said nodding in the direction that they had gone. “Oh okay.” Brandi said sitting down. A few minutes passed then Joey came down with JC and Kim close behind. “Good morning every one.” Joey said with a smile. “Good morning, Joe.” Mandy said. JC stopped and stud next to Joey; he rubbed the sleep from his eyes then blinked a few times. “So what’s the plan?” Kim asked. “Chris and Justin went to see about a car and as soon as we get there we’ll just play it by ear.” Lance said. “Here they come now.” JC said pointing at Chris and Justin as they walked toward them. He was still rubbing his eyes. “We got one. It was the only one they had. It’s a jeep thing. It might be kind of tight but it’ll work.” Chris explained. “Are you ready to do this, Justin?” Kim asked. “Yeah, I can’t wait to see her again.” Justin said with a smile. “Then let’s go.” Joey said rounding the other’s up. They all got their things ready and piled into the jeep. The jeep was bigger than most jeeps. But it was made for the rough roads. Mandy sat on Lance’s lap and after much talking Kim sat on JC lap. The rest of them packed them selves in as close as they could. Justin drove. It took them an hour to get to the small town they were looking for. This town was indeed small. It consisted of a few houses, a post office, a small tavern, and a few tiny shops. “Gee, if she’s been here then some one has to have seen her.” Joey said looked around him and the tiny town. “Yeah.” Mandy said. “Come on the tavern would be the best place to start looking.” Brandi said jumping out of the pack jeep. She took a minute to adjust her legs. The others soon jumped out and joined her. “It’s hot.” Justin said looking up at the sun. JC took a rag out of his pocket and wiped the sweet off his face. “This reminds me of when we’re on stage.” JC said. “Yeah.” The other guys said. They made their way over to the tavern. Once inside they looked around. There were a few people sitting around eating and talking. “Now what?” Mandy asked Brandi. “We asked around.” Brandi said making her way over to the man behind counter. “Hi, have you seen this girl?” Brandi asked pulling out a picture of Katy and showing it to the man. The man looked at her funny then said something in other language. “I’m sorry I don’t understand. Is there any one here who speaks English?” Brandi asked. Him. The man shook his head yes then pointed to a both on the far wall. Brandi started to head for the table. She stopped and motioned for the others to follow her. “Hey, Brandi. Isn’t that Tasha?” Mandy asked once they got closer. Brandi stopped and looked at the girl closely. “Yeah I think it is.” Brandi said. “Great then she should know where Katy is then right?” Mandy asked. “Yeah, you go talk to her.” Brandi said pushing Mandy forward. “No, you.” Mandy said. “I’ll do it.” Kim said pushing past both of them. Kim walked up to the table. “Hi, I’m sorry to bug you but do you by any chance know where I can find this girl?” Kim said showing her the picture. The girl looked at it then up at Kim. “What do you want with her?” She asked. “I’m a friend of her’s I kind of wanted to find her.” Kim said. “Really then maybe you know me.” She said. “Yeah your Tasha, right?” Kim said. “Yeah, and you are?” Tasha said. “I’m Kim.” Kim said taking her hand and shaking it. “Please have a seat.” Tasha said pointing to the seat opposite her. “Thanks but I’m kind of with some people.” Kim said pointing back at the others. “They can come sit down too.” Tasha said. “Okay.” Kim said then waved the others over. They all gathered around the booth. Mandy Brandi and Lance got in the booth beside them and looked over at them. “So do you know where Katy is?” Justin asked. Tasha looked Justin over she could tell something was bothering him. “You must be Justin.” She said after a long pause. “Yeah, how did you know that?” Justin asked resting his head on his arms. “Your like super famous for one. But I knew you mainly because Katy talked about you a lot.” Tasha said. “Really what did she say about me.” Justin asked suddenly drawn into the conversation. “She said that you were the sweetest guy she had ever met, but she was so sad that she had to leave you.” Tasha said. “Do you know where she is?” Brandi asked interrupting her. “Yes, and no.” Tasha said. “What do you mean yes and No!” Mandy yelled not meaning to. “Sorry.” Mandy said. “It’s okay, but what I mean is that I talked to her when she first came here but then she kind of went away. I don’t know where she lives, but I do know some one who does.” Tasha said. “Really who?” Justin asked. “A man by the name of Rodney. He lives a little ways from town. He’s always doing stuff for her, like getting her mail and stuff.” Tasha said. Justin jumped when said it was a man. But he knew he had no real reason to worry at the moment. “Can you take us to him?” JC asked. “Yeah sure just let me pay for this.” Tasha said getting out of her seat. “Great we’ll meet you outside.” Kim said. “Okay.” Tasha said. It wasn’t long till Tasha came out side. Tasha walked over to her car. “Some of you can ride with me if you want.” Tasha said opening her door. “Okay me and Justin will.” Kim said walking over to her. Justin tossed Chris the keys. “You guys can follow us.” Kim said getting into the car. The others hopped into the jeep and Chris started it up and waited for Tasha to get in front of him. They drove for and few minutes down a dirt road until they came to fairly new house. Tasha pulled into the driveway then turned the car off. They all got out. Justin looked at the house. Tasha went up to the door and knocked. But there was no answer. “I know he’s here his car is still here. He must be in back working on his other car.” Tasha said then took off around the house. They could hear music playing as they got close to the back. And sure enough there he was leaning under the hood of a car. They couldn’t see him real well at first. Tasha walked over and turn the music off. “Hey, Rodney.” Tasha yelled. Rodney jumped and the sound of her voice. He hit his head on the hood. He looked up at Tasha still rubbing his now sore head. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.” Tasha said. “It’s okay.” He said setting his tool down. “I brought some people to see you.” Tasha said. “Oh really?” Rodney asked. Justin studied Rodney for a minute and so did the others. Rodney was a young man, probably in his early twenties. He had dark brown hair that was kind of long and pushed back by a bandana he had around his forehead. Rodney wiped some grease off his hand then reached out to shake Justin’s. Justin shook his hand. “Hi, my name’s Justin.” He said. Rodney looked at Justin for a minute then raised one eyebrow. “You wouldn’t be that guy Kee Neko was talking about would you?” Rodney asked. Justin had to think for a second then it dawned on him that he was talking about Katy. “Yeah do you know where she is?” Justin asked. “Yeah, why you want to see her?” Rodney asked. “I’d like too.” Justin sighed. “Please can you tell us where she is.” Brandi begged. “What’s the hurry?” Rodney asked. “It’s important that we find her.” JC said. Rodney glanced at JC then back to his car. “Yeah I can tell you right where she is, but it won’t do you much good.” Rodney said. “What? Why?” Kim asked. “She lives on an island so you need a boat to get there. But even if you had a boat you’d never fined it. It’s not on any map.” Rodney explained. “But I have to find her, please help me.” Justin said grabbing his arm. “You really are in love with her aren’t you?” Rodney asked turning to face Justin. “Yes.” Justin said letting go of his arm. “Then I’ll take you there myself.” Rodney said pointing to a boat he had parked at a dock not too far away. “Really that would be great.” Mandy said jumping up and down holding Lance’s arm. Lance looked at her then at his arm. “Sorry.” Mandy said letting go of it. Rodney gave her a weird look then tuned back to Justin. “Yeah I’ll take you, I was going to go tomorrow but I can go today. Just let me round up some things that I was going to take to her then I’ll be with you.” Rodney said heading for his house. “I’m so happy I can’t wait to see her again.” Mandy said jumping up and down again. “Claim down babe.” Lance said putting his hands on her shoulders. It wasn’t long till Rodney came back out carrying some boxes full of stuff. “Do me a favor and grab that.” Rodney said nodding to some other boxes that were sitting on the ground. Joey ran over and grabbed them. “Follow me.” Rodney said making his way to the boat. Joey followed him. He stopped half way and turned to the others. “You guys can get your stuff and load it on to the boat.” He said. The other quickly ran to the jeep and got their things. Once on the boat Rodney told Joey to just set them anywhere and so Joey did then took off for the jeep to get his things. It didn’t take them long to load everything onto the boat. It was about 3:00 o’clock when they got ready to set out for Katy’s island. Tasha had other things she needed to do so she didn’t go with them to the island. Kim saw this as being her only chance to get away so while the others were doing the final touches to get ready to sail she slipped off the boat and started walking back towards town. It wasn’t long till JC noticed that something was missing. “Joey where’s Kim.” JC asked looking around the boat. Joey looked up at JC. “I thought you were watching her.” Joey said. “No I thought you were.” JC said. They both glared at each other then jumped up. JC ran up to Mandy who was tying down some boxes. “Have you seen Kim?” JC asked all in a panic. “No, I thought she was with you.” Mandy said. “What’s wrong?” Chris asked walking up to his friend. “Kim’s gone.” JC explained. “Oh.” Chris said putting one hand on his chin. “Come on she couldn’t have gotten far.” Joey said grabbing JC arm and dragging him off the boat. “Where are you going?” Rodney asked looking over the side of the boat. “We forgot something. We’ll only be a minute.” Joey explained. Rodney shook his head then disappeared. “Okay Joey she has to be heading back in to town so if we follow the road we should find her.” JC explained. That sounded good to Joey so they took off running down the road. They hadn’t gone far when JC spotted something down the road. He knew right away that it was Kim. He’d didn’t bother to tell Joey instead he took off after her. Kim didn’t see him coming till he got closer but as soon as she did she too took of running. “Wait Kim come back.” JC yelled. “Not on your life.” Kim yelled looking back at him. Joey saw what was going o but was too tired to help JC. It wasn’t long till JC caught up with her and grabbed her arm and brought both of them to a halt. “Let go of me.” Kim yelled trying to pulled free from him. “Kim, come on this will all be over in a few days.” JC explained to her. “I don’t care I just want to go home. Kim wined. That’s when Joey caught up to them. “You’re coming with us and that’s final.” Joey said grabbing her other arm. The two of them drug Kim back to Rodney’s and on to the boat. “Are you ready to go now?” Rodney asked. “Yes, were ready now.” JC said not letting go of Kim till the boat pulled away from the dock. “Kim why to you keep trying to get away?” JC asked. Kim leaned against the railing and said nothing. “Is it because of me?” JC asked. Kim looked at him; she could tell this was hurting him. Kim put her arm around him and rested her head on his shoulder. “No, sweetie it’s not you. I love you!” Kim said. JC was shocked to hear her say those words. “You do?” He asked. “Yeah, I just don’t want to do this.” Kim said. “Why not? You did it last summer.” JC asked. “Yeah well I didn’t really want to do it then either.” Kim said. “But I did it because it meant a lot to the others. This time there is no reason for me to do it.” “Do it for me.” JC said turning to face her. He took both of her hands and held them. Kim looked up at him. His blue eyes shined back at her. “I’ll try.” Kim said turning away from him. “That’s all I ask.” JC said. They both smiled then JC drew her closer. Kim looked up at him but before she could speak he kissed her. At first Kim wasn’t sure how to act but then she started to kiss him back. “Hurry Justin time them.” Chris yelled from no where. But Kim and JC didn’t pay any attention to him. “You’re mean.” Justin told Chris as they walked on by them. “I know, let’s leave them alone and go bug some one else.” Chris said running down the deck to the little door that lead into the room under the deck where the others were. Once inside they looked around. Brandi, Mandy, Lance and Joey were all playing cards. “What’s going on up there?” Brandi asked. “Oh, nothing much. We were just watching the waves go by and then we watched Kim and JC kiss.” Chris said. “They kissed?” Joey asked. “Yeah.” Justin said. “Maybe now she won’t try to get away.” Joey said looking at his cards. “It’s not like she could get away if she wanted to any way. There’s no way off that islands once this boat leaves.” Mandy said. “Really?” Justin asked. “Yeah, well they have some boats put away in case of an emergency but other than that there is no way to leave.” Mandy explained. “Good Joey said setting his cards face down on the table. That’s when Rodney came in. “We’re about there you might want to start getting ready.” He said. “Okay thanks.” Justin said rounding up his things. Justin grabbed his bag then went up on deck. He walked over a stood next to JC who was leaning against the railing looking out over the water at the small piece of land that they were coming up on. “That’s it?” Justin asked looking at the island in awe. “Yeah, it’s not much but not many people live there.” JC explained. “Do you think she will be glad to see me?” Justin asked looking down at the water. JC turned and faced him. “If what Rodney told me is true she’ll be very happy to see you.” JC said. “What did he tell you?” Justin asked. “Don’t worry about it.” JC said. Before Justin could ask another question the boat came to a stop at a small man made dock. “Here we are boys.” Rodney said turning off the engine. They each grabbed their things then filed off the boat onto the dock, which creaked under their weight. “Is this thing safe?” Chris asked Rodney and they made their way to land. “Yeah man it’s pretty safe.” Rodney said. Chris gave him a half smile then hopped off onto the white sand on the beach. Mandy looked around. Just off the beach were some small man made houses. They could see people walking around, most of them looked Indian but some were not. Young red headed lady wear an animal skin dress approached them. “hola.” The red head said. “Do you speak English?” JC asked. “Yes. I do how can I help you?” She asked. “They’re looking for Kee Neko.” Rodney said. “Is that so?” She asked. “Yes, do you know where she is?” Justin asked. “Yeah she’s right over there.” She said pointing down the beach to a small fire where some women were huddled around it cooking. Justin saw Katy right away. She was bending down by the fire stirring something in a large pot. Justin was frozen; he couldn’t help but stare at her. She ran her hand through her curly hair, which was slintly frizzed by the warm tropical climate that surrounded her. She was laughing and talking to the Indian women next to her. “I’ll go get her for you.” The red head said taking off down the beach before Justin had a chance to stop her. As she reached her Katy stood up and brushed the sand off her animal skin skirt. They talked for a few minutes then the red head pointed back at Justin and the others. A smile spread across Katy’s face then she took off running for them before her friend could finish what she was saying. Justin could see her coming, her bare feet pounding on the sands as she ran for him. Justin dropped his things in the sand and just as he did Katy stopped just a few feet away from him and looked him over. For a long time they both just stood there and stared at each other. Justin held his arms open ready to wrap them around her at any time. Katy turned her head to one side then stepped closer to him and wrapped her arms around him. She rested her head on his shoulder. He closed his arms around her and ran one hand through her soft curls. “I missed you so much.” She said. “I missed you too.” He said running his hands down her back. They others stood watching them. For a minute it was as if they were the only two on the island. Then Katy broke away from him; Justin didn’t want to let go at first but soon his arms fell limp at his sides. Katy stepped back from him then looked at the others in awe. “You all came back, but why?” Katy asked. “We kind of need your help.” Joey said. “What kind of help?” Katy asked crossing her arms. “We need you guys to help us make another video.” JC explained. “Is that the only reason you came back?” Katy asked starting to worry. “No, I wanted to see you again.” Justin said running his hand down her arm. Rodney joined them. “This, guys, is the finest tropical flower you’ll ever see.” Rodney said. Katy blushed, “Your such a flatter, but I thought you weren’t coming tile tomorrow?” Katy said. “Yes, well your friends insisted that I take them to you right away.” Rodney explained. “Oh they did, did they?” Katy said looking at Justin. Justin just shrugged. “Yeah well I was very willing to take them when I found out who he was.” Rodney said pointing to Justin. “Yeah what’s this I hear about you talking about me?” Justin asked putting his arm around her. “Who me?” Katy asked then smiled at him. “Well I’d love to stay but I have so many things to do. I’m just going to unpack and then leave you. You have a lot of catching up to do.” Rodney said. “Yes, we do. And thank you so much for bringing them.” Katy said giving Rodney a kiss on his cheek. Justin felt a little jealousy toward Rodney. But he some how knew or at least hoped Katy truly did love him and that everything would be okay. Katy watched Rodney walk down the beach and back on to his boat then turned back to the others. “Well Katy are you trying to make a new fashion statement?” Brandi asked. Katy looked down at what she was wearing. She lifted her skirt slightly then looked back up at Brandi with her head tilled to one side. “I think I look cute.” She said. “You look great!” Justin said placing one arm across her stomach. Katy looked down at his hand and placed her hand on it. She remembered the night that she used to lay awake in her bed with his arms around her. She looked up at him. She gazed into his eyes like she used to do. “Hey! Are you going to show us around or what?” JC asked. Katy smiled then turned to face him. “Yes, of course.” She said breaking away from Justin. “Come with me I’ll find you a place to stay.” Katy said leading them down the beach toward the few huts that were standing in the distance. Once in the tiny village like camp. Katy gave them the grand tour, which last only a few minutes. “There is one extra hut. The rest of you can bunk with Meko or Nicoma.” Katy said pushing the flap of one of the hurt aside to let them all in. Once inside they looked around. The hut was larger than they had thought in was going to be. It consisted of 3 rooms. One main room then two smaller one that branched off from. Lance and me get our own room.” Mandy yelled. “Good, I don’t think any one wants to be in a room with you two.” Brandi asked eyeing the couple. Katy giggled, “I know it’s not much but some of you can share with the village people.” Katy said. “I don’t know these people scare me.” Chris said. “Really why is that?” Katy asked. “It’s just not right to live this way any more.” Chris explained. “Hey, I happen to like it here.” Katy said crossing her arms across her chest. “Yeah, and you scare me too.” Chris said stepping back to avoid being slapped. Katy smiled, “Then we’re equal, you scare me too.” Katy said. Everyone laughed but Chris. “It’s really great to see you again.” Brandi said. “You too, I hope you guys have fun here.” Katy said. “I think we will.” Joey said looking out the window and the village ladies. “Dream on Joey.” Brandi said. “What?” Joey asked looking over at her trying to play dumb. “Those girls are out of your league.” JC said. “Not really. They are island girls, they just want a big, dumb, strong man.” Katy said. “Really, then Joey’s a shoe in. Well except for the strong part.” Lance said. “Ha Ha, very funny.” Joey said starting to get annoyed. “It’s okay Joey we love you.” Katy said trying to comfort him. “Thank you.” Joey said. “Okay, back to what we were talking about. Who’s going to sleep were?” Mandy asked. “You guys can fight over it. All except you.” Katy said putting her arms around Justin’s waste. “Really and were am I going to sleep?” He asked already knowing the answer. “Why in my hut with me.” She said with a smile. Justin returned the smile. “As for the rest of you. Meko and Nicoma have extra rooms.” Katy said. “Okay then here is how we’ll do it. Lance and me, and JC and Kim will stay in this hut. Chris and Joey you stay with Meko and Brandi you stay with Nicoma.” Mandy said. “Does that sound good to every one?” Brandi asked. “Yeah sure.” Joey said. “Okay, then you guys can start to unpack add I’ll show the rest of you to your rooms.” Katy said. “Are you sure your friends won’t mind?” Chris asked. “No they don’t get company very often here, so they’d love to have you. Plus you’ll only be sleeping there.” Katy said. “When do we eat?” Joey asked following her out the door. “Later Joey.” Katy said. Katy showed Justin her hut first, since it was right next door, so he could start to unpack. Then she led the others down the dirt path a little ways. Till she cam to other hut. Katy knocked on the side of it. “Nicoma are you here?” She asked. “Yeah hold on.” She said. Nicoma came to the door and pushed the flap aside. “Hi Kee Neko, what do you want?” She asked. “My friend needs a place to sleep for a few days. Can she stay with you?” Katy asked. “Yes, of course.” She said. “Great, this is Brandi.” Katy said stepping a side so the two could meet. They shook hands. “We meet earlier and the beach but I didn’t get your name.” Brandi said recognizing the red head from before. “Yes, we did. It’s good the meet you.” Nicoma said. “I’m sorry I didn’t get to meet your other friends.” Nicoma said. “It’s okay you can meet them at dinner, by the way this is Chris and Joey.” Katy said pointing to Chris then Joey. “Great, why don’t you come in and unpack.” Nicoma said to Brandi. “Okay, thanks so much.” Brandi said making her way into her hut. Once inside Brandi looked around. The hut was neat on the inside. It was unlike Brandi has expected. Nicoma had a tye-dye smiley flag hanging on one wall. It was a lot like the one Brandi used to have a long time ago. “This place is great.” Brandi said. “Thanks, I’m glad you like it.” Nicoma said. “Where do you want me?” Brandi asked. “Oh, your rooms over there.’ Nicoma said pointing to one of the homemade doors. Outside Katy, Chris, and Joey had made it to Meko’s. But as they reached the hut Katy saw Meko coming up the walkway. “Hey, babe what can I do for you?” He asked. “My friends need a place to stay for a few nights. Can they stay in your extra bedroom?” Katy asked looking up and the tall blond. Meko ran his hand through his short hair. “Yeah sure, any friend of yours is a friend of mine.” He said. “Great. This is Chris and Joey.” Katy said pointing to them. “Hey, it’s nice to meet you two.” Meko said taking Chris hand then Joey’s. “It’s nothing fancy.” Meko said pulling his door open. “It’s a place to sleep isn't it?” Chris asked. “Yes, it sure is.” Meko said walking into his hut. Chris and Joey followed close behind. “I have other things to do you three behave.” Katy said turning to leave. “We will.” Meko said with a smile. “Bye.” Joey said watching Katy leave. “Here is the extra room.” Meko said pushing the animal skin flap aside. Chris peeked into it. “It’ll work.” He said setting his things down on one of the two twin beds. “So what is there to do here?” Joey asked standing next to Meko. “Ha, we only do what we have to, to live. The rest of the time we spend messing around.” Meko said. “This is my kind of place then.” Joey said setting his bags on the other bed. Back outside Katy was on her way back to the extra hut to talk to the others. Justin met her just out side. “Hi, babe.” He said with a smile. He walked over to her and wrapped an arm around her. Katy giggled. “I missed you so much.” Katy said kissing him on his cheek. “Don’t worry baby I won’t let you go this time.” Justin said. Katy pulled him into the hut. As they got in Mandy rushed past them. Lance was close behind her. They chased each other around the hut nearly knocking JC over. “Those two worry me.” JC said raising one eyebrow. “Me too.” Kim said setting down on and homemade chair. “Their just in love.” Katy said. “But we don’t act that way.” Justin said. “Yeah but I remember that night at the club, Mr. Timberlake. You weren’t mister innocent.” Katy said giving him a sly look. Justin blushed and looked at his feet. “I think he was in heat.” JC said. They all laughed. “Would you two stop for a second? I want to know what the deal is with this video.” Katy said. Lance stopped and sat down on a homemade couch. Mandy sat down on his lap and wrapped her arms around him. “It’s just an idea we had. The video you guys made with us was a big hit.” JC said. “We tried to make something like it, but it wasn’t the same.” Justin said. “We figured it was you girls that made it so special. Right Lance?” JC said then looked over at his blond friend only to find him and Mandy engaged in a huge French kiss. “Lance?” JC yelled. “What?” Lance asked pulling away from Mandy. “We need the girls to make the video, right?” JC repeated. “Yeah!” Lance said then went back to kissing Mandy. JC looked over at Kim, Katy, and Justin. “Just let them be.” Justin said shaking his head. “What are we going to use to make this video?” Kim asked. “We brought a video camera and some blank tapes. We also have a computer on hold some where alls we have to do is send for it.” JC said. “And where do you think you’re going to plug it in at?” Katy asked. “You don’t have any power here?” Kim asked. Katy shook her head no. “Then I guess we’ll have to ask your friend Rodney if you can use his place to edit it.” Justin said. “What song are we doing?” Mandy asked taking a break from kissing Lance. “Well we took the time to rerecord some of the songs. You guys can pick between ‘Some dreams’ or ‘Somewhere someday’ Those had an island beat.” JC said. “Okay we can talk about it more over dinner.” Katy said. “Great what are we having?” Joey asked sticking his head in the door. “It’s better that I not tell you.” Katy said. “Why?” Joey asked. “Don’t worry about it, sweetie.” Mandy said hoping off Lance lap. Joey got a confused look on his face. “Hey how about showing us more of your island.” Kim said. “Sure, there’s this beautiful waterfall not too far from here.” Katy said. “Great can we go see it? Maybe we can use it in the video.” Mandy said. “Maybe.” JC said walking toward the door. “We have to get Brandi.” Chris said once they were all out side. “Okay.” Katy said leading them down the path to Nicoma’s hut. Katy tapped on the side of it. “Who is it?” Nicoma asked. “Its Katy were going to the falls, we want Brandi to come.” Katy said. “Okay, I’m coming.” Brandi said. Soon the flap flung to one side. The group stud shock as the looked at Brandi. “What?” Brandi asked, “don’t you like it?” She asked twirling around in the finely strung cloth outfit. Nicoma came out a stud next to her. “She let me barrow it.” Brandi said pointing to Nicoma. Chris was about to fall over. You could see her bikini top under the thin material. “You look like a real islander.” Mandy said. “That’s what I was going for.” Brandi said. “Come on.” Katy said with a laugh. “Hey, can Nicoma come?” Brandi asked. “Yeah if she wants to.” Kim said. “Well I have some thing I kind of need to do.” Nicoma said. “Nicoma, you’re coming.” Katy said grabbing her hand and taking off down the path. “So Nicoma tell us about you.” Mandy said trying to make her fell at home. “What do you want to know?” Nicoma asked. “Why did you come here?” Joey asked. “I came here because I wanted to get away from the busy city life.” Nicoma said. “Oh, I can relate to that.” Joey said recalling the busyness of the out side world. However here it seemed so distant. They walked about a half into the forest. That’s when they came to a beautiful waterfall. It poor down from a cliff into a small lake that had formed below it. The lake emptied into a river. It was indeed a sight. “This Place is wonderful.” Mandy said spinning in place trying to take it all in. “We have to use this in our video.” JC said wrapping his arm around Kim. All the guys seemed drawn to this place now. There was something about what was now surrounding them that was some how speaking to them. Justin looked in awe at the beauty that was around him, and then he looked at Katy. True she wasn’t the raving beauty she had been a year ago. But in the light of the sun that managed to seep trough the trees, she was the most stunning thing he had ever seen. Katy turned and looked at him. “What’s wrong?” Katy asked. Justin blinked and thought for a minute. “Nothings wrong, for once in my life everything seems to be right.” He said moving closer to her. “I’m not sure what that means but I take it’s a good thing.” She said hugging him. Mandy finally after looking around her, she saw why Katy had loved this place so. “This place is great.” Chris said after a long pause. “I’m glad you think so.” Katy said. “So what song are we going to do for the video?” Mandy asked. “What video?” Nicoma asked. The others looked at each other. JC took the time to carefully explain what had happen last year. After that Lance filled her in on why they were here. “That sounds cool, can I help?” Nicoma asked. “Yes, of course you can.” Kim said. “I hate to tell you but it’s time we head back now. If we don’t get back before dark we’ll get lost out here.” Katy said. “Okay, we have a lot to talk about anyway. Right?” Joey asked. “Yes. We’ll talk over dinner.” Katy said. “You still haven’t told me what we’re having.” Joey said following her back into the woods. “It’s better that way, Joey. Don’t worry about it.” Katy said not looking back to see the look on his face. Chris walked next to Brandi. He hadn’t really talked to her since he found out about her boyfriend. “Hi.” Chris said. “Hi, are you okay?” Brandi asked. “Yeah, I’m fine. How about you?” Chris asked. “Yeah I’m fine too. This place is great. Don’t you think?” Brandi asked. “Yeah, it is.” Chris said. Brandi still had feelings for Chris but she wasn’t sure if once this was all over Chris would stay. She didn’t want to get hurt. Plus there was Akiko who was still back in Australia waiting for her. Justin looked back and he could see Chris and Brandi still talking. Katy too looked back at them. “Are they having trouble?” Katy asked. “Didn’t she tell you she had a boyfriend?” Justin asked. “Yeah, she told me but I think that the guy she really wants is standing beside her.” Katy said. “Do you really think so?” Justin asked. “Yes, I do. She wrote me and though she never came out and said it. You could tell in the back of her mind she was still thinking about Chris all these months. “Should I tell Chris that?” Justin asked. “I know you’re his friend and that you mean well, but don’t you think he’d better figure it out for himself?” Katy asked. Justin shook his head yes. Joey came up beside Katy. “Please tell me what’s for dinner.” Joey begged. “Don’t worry, Joey. I’m sure whatever it is it won’t kill you.” Justin said. “But, still after having dinner at Brandi’s house I don’t know if I can take anymore surprises.” Joey said. “It’s okay, Joey, It tastes just like chicken.” Katy said. “I don’t care what it tastes like I want to know what it is.” Joey wined. “Give it up Joey.” JC said putting his hand on Joey’s shoulder. With that Joey dropped it for now. The sun was just starting to go down as the reached the village. The Islander had already started a huge campfire on the middle of the village in a large pit. “What’s going on?” Mandy asked Nicoma. “Oh, we always eat dinner as a group around the fire.” Nicoma replied with a smile. “Oh, well that’s a neat idea.” Mandy said. “Yeah, I’m not sure whose idea it was but we’ve been doing it this way for some time now. I think it’s since we live on such close terms that if we sit down together every night it keeps the peace.” Nicoma explained. “Oh, I get it. So if two people aren’t getting along then at least at dinner they have to put up with each other and then sooner or later they get over it.” Brandi said coming into their conversation. “Yes, exactly.” Nicoma said. “So were do we sit?” Lance asked. “Just sit on the logs that are around the fire.” Katy said. And so they did, they all sat in the same area. It wasn’t long till the other islanders joined them around the fire. Only a couple of them looked Indian. But there weren’t really that many other people on the island and most of them were young, maybe in the their twenties. Meko came and sat down next to Justin. “Hi, I don’t think we’ve met, I’m Meko.” Meko said. Justin looked at him then shook his hand. ‘I’m Justin.” He said. “Really you must be the Justin, Kee Neko talks about.” Meko said recalling his conversations with Katy. “Yeah, What did she say about me?” Justin asked. “Nothing bad don’t worry. I think she really missed you. Though she never told me why she left you.” Meko said. “It was a misunderstanding I think. But I think everything is going to be fine now.” Justin said. “Oh, okay. I hope things work out for you two. She like a little sister to me.” Meko said. “So are you saying that you love her?” Justin asked feeling just a little jealous. Justin took a brief second to study the man before he answered. Justin could see how he had reminded Katy of him. His blonde hair was cut short like Justin used to wear his hair many years ago. He was built a lot like Justin. Meko looked at Justin, He could tell Justin was getting jealous. “You were worried about her weren’t you?” Meko asked. “Yes, I care about her a lot. So I do worry a great deal about her.” Justin said. “Well don’t be so worried when it comes to me. I do love her but only as a sister. We tried dating but she was still very much in love with you. I could tell. And I really was in love with her. But I never had a sister and when I came here I started to look up to Kee Neko right away. She truly is the sister I never had.” Meko explained. Justin started to feel bad for think harshly of Meko. “I’m sorry it seems I’ve misjudged you.” Justin said. “It’s okay. You were just looking out for yourself.” Meko said. “How do you figure that?” Justin asked. “Well if you care for her as much as she cares for you then you didn’t want to get hurt. And you would have if she’d been with some one else. Am I right?” Meko asked. “Yes, you are. I think. But I don’t even want to think about that.” Justin said. “it’s understandable.” Meko said. “Please let in introduce you to the others. I know you’ve met Chris and Joey already.” Justin said. “Sure, I’d love to meet them.” Meko said. Justin reached over the spot he was saving for Katy and tapped JC. “What?” JC asked. “I want you to meet some one. This is Meko.” Justin said pointing to Meko. Meko shook JC hand. “Hi, I’m JC.” JC said. Justin went on down the line until Meko had meet them all. Once that was done they sat back down. “Justin, I know you have things to do. But tomorrow I want you and your friends to join me and the other guys when we go out to hunt for dinner.” Meko said. “I’m not much of a hunter.” Justin said. “No, it’s easy. Plus there so much more to it than that. It’s a guy thing. We go out in the early morning and the women stay behind to work around the village.” Meko explained. Justin thought for a minute. It would be a good way for him to show Katy he could handle being out here. “Okay. I’ll come but I’ll have to asked the other guys later.” Justin said. “Okay.” Meko said. “Okay everyone. It’s time to eat.” Nicoma said. A couple of the island girls helped to pass out the food. Each person got a wooden bowel with some meat and veggie's in it and a piece of bread. Nicoma got a bowel and then sat down next to Joey. Joey leaned of to her. “What is this?” He asked. Nicoma looked over at Katy. “Take a bite then I’ll tell you.” She said. Joey looked down at his plate the over a Lance who was eating away. “How can you eat it if you don’t know what it is?” Joey asked. “I’d rather not know, Joey to tell you the truth.” Lance said. Joey looked back over at Nicoma who was still smiling. Joey then looked down at his bowel. He picked at it for a few second then found a piece of meat and lifted it to his mouth. He closed his eye tight and then ate it. He chewed it for a minute then swallowed. “It does taste like chicken.” Joey said in amassment. “Would I lie to you?” Katy asked. Joey didn’t answer instead he turned to Nicoma. “I ate it now tell me what it is.” Joey said. “Okay. It’s snake.” Nicoma said. Joey stared at her blankly. Justin haven heard what was said nearly spit his food out. “Are you okay sweetie?” Katy asked patting him on the back. “Yeah, I just wasn’t expecting that.” Justin said wiping his mouth with his sleeve. JC, Lance and Mandy were laughing at this point. “Ha, ha. Real funny.” Justin said. “I thought you didn’t like snakes Justin?” Kim asked. “I don’t care for live ones. But Katy’s right they taste like chicken.” Justin said. After they were all done eating they sat in a small group next to the fire and talked about the video. Justin told the other guys that he’d been asked to go hunting with the island guys. “Are you sure you want to go?” Katy asked. “Yeah, why not it sounds like fun.” Justin said. “I just think your getting into something your not sure of.” Katy said. “Don’t worry we’ll all go.” JC said. “Great you guys get to go off and have fun while we stay behind a clean.” Mandy said. “Hey, do you remember last summer?” Kim asked. “Yeah why?” Brandi asked. “You guys got to have all the fun while I stayed home and cleaned.” Kim said. “Oh, yeah. Sorry about that.” Mandy said. “It’s okay. Let the guys go.” Katy said. “You do realize that you have to get up early to go, right?” Nicoma asked. “Yeah we better go to bed then.” JC said getting up off the ground. “Yeah you’re right.” Justin said. They all said good night then headed for their huts. Nicoma and Brandi got to their first. They slipped into their PJ’s. “Hey, Brandi Nicoma said peeking in the door, as Brandi was about to hop into bed. “What?” Brandi asked with a smile. “I have a question.” Nicoma said. “Yeah.” Brandi replied folding her covers back. “Your friend, he’s cute. Does he have a girlfriend?” Nicoma asked. “Who?” Brandi asked suddenly interested. “Joey.” Nicoma said softly. ‘You think Joey is cute?” Brandi asked. “Yes, I do.” Nicoma said feeling very proud of herself. “Joey Fatone?” Brandi asked still in shock. “Is that his last name?” Nicoma asked having never heard it before. “Yes, but why Joey?” Brandi asked sitting down on her bed. “He seems sweet.” Nicoma said. Brandi thought back to last summer. She recalled the first day he was there and how he’d gotten in a fight with Just and blamed Justin for him getting kidnapped. Brandi laughed as she saw that day clearly in her mind. Joey sure didn’t seem sweet that day. But then Brandi remembered the night it had all gone so wrong and her and Joey had gone down stairs to play video games but ended up kissing instead. She remembered the way she felt when he wrapped his arms around her. He was so strong. For that one moment she had forgotten about Chris. She regretted that night and wandered if Joey had ever hold Chris what happened between them. But that night Joey did in fact seem sweet. “Are you okay?” Nicoma asked after Brandi’s long pause. Brandi came back to the present and turned and looked at Nicoma. “I’m fine I was just thinking about what you just said.” Brandi said. “Really what about it?” Nicoma asked. “I’ve seen Joey be sweet and I’ve seen him be upset.” Brandi said, “But for the most part I think it would depend on the woman he’s with.” “Do you think he likes me?” Nicoma asked. “I don’t know, he’s Joey. It’s hard to tell with him.” Brandi said. “Will you find out for me?” Nicoma asked. “Sure.” Brandi said. “Great, I owe you one.” Nicoma said heading for the door. “Good night.” Brandi said. “You too.” Nicoma said disappearing through the door. With that Brandi got in bed and blew out the candle that was beside her. Down the path a little ways in Mandy, Kim, Lance and JC’s hut. They to were getting ready for bed. Lance and JC were sitting in the main room waiting for the girls to get ready. It wasn’t long till Mandy came out of her and Lance’s room and wrapped her arms around Lance. “I’m ready baby.” She said. Lance smiled at looked up at her. “Now remember these walls a paper-thin pretty much so please keep it down.” JC begged. “Lance looked over at him and smile. “The same goes for you.” Lance asked eyeing his friend. JC laughed. “Come on me and Kim aren’t as bad as you two. You guys can’t keep your hands off each other.” JC said. Mandy stuck her tongue out at JC then grabbed Lance hand. “Come Lanceton it’s bedtime.” Mandy said leading him to their bedroom. “Good night you two.” JC said watching they walk off. JC sat alone for a few minutes. He smiled and laughed to himself. He and Kim were back were they had left off and that is right were JC wanted to be. He’d missed her so bad; he only wanted her back. And now they were together again. JC wandered how long it would last this time. He hoped that once the video was done that Kim would come live with him. She could even go on tour with them if she wanted. One thing was clear though JC wasn’t going to let her go as easily this time. Then Kim stuck her head out of their bed room door. “I’m ready, let’s go to bed.” Kim said. JC smiled then lifted himself out of the chair and walked over to the door. He stopped in the doorway. Kim folded the covers down and was getting them all neat. JC watched her for a few seconds. She was indeed everything he wanted in a woman. She pushed her fairly long brown hair behind her ear then looked over at him. She smiled. “Aren’t you coming?” She asked patting the bed with her hand. JC smiled back then walked into the room and around to the other side of the bed. Kim got in and JC was close behind her. JC snuggled close to her. Kim could feel his breath on her neck. “I love you.” He whispered in her ear. “I love you too.” Kim said turning to meet his blue eyes. His eyes seemed to glow with the light of the candle. JC blinked a few times then started to kiss her neck like he had done last summer. Kim giggled as she remembered that day in the woods. When they had gone for a walk. JC had laid her down on the grass in the woods and he had kissed her just like this. He had the same gentleness that he had that day. Kim could remember everything about that day. It was the first day that she had felt close to JC. JC stopped when he didn’t hear Kim giggling any more. He looked over at her. “What’s wrong?” JC asked. “Nothing I was just thinking.” Kim said. “About what?” JC asked. Kim smiled and ran her hand through his hair. “About us.” Kim said softly then kissed him on his lips. JC kissed her back. Once they stopped Kim spoke again. “I think we had better go to sleep. You have a busy day tomorrow.” Kim said. “Yeah, I think your right.” JC said getting comfortable. Then the two of them fell fast asleep in each other’s arms. Mean while next door. Katy and Justin were getting ready for bed. Katy ran her comb through her hair looking at Justin in the reflection of her mirror. Justin was behind her readying the bed for them. “Are you about ready?” He asked. “Yes.” Katy said with a smile then turned to him. Before Katy could say anything Justin push down on the bed. He kissed her neck and worked his hands over her body. Katy grabbed his hands and looked him in the eye. “Now sweetie you forget that you have a very busy day tomorrow.” Katy said. “Yes, I know but I’ve missed you so much. I just can’t help my self.” Justin said. Katy glanced in his shining blue eyes. Justin rested his head on Katy’s chest. Katy blew out the candle and the room went dark. “Hold me, I’m scared of the dark.” Justin said in a little kid voice. Then curled up in a little ball. Katy laughed then wrapped her arms around him. “Don’t worry I won’t let any thing happen to you.” Katy said running her hands through his hair. Then they too feel asleep.
