Part 12
The wedding
After thing settled back down Lance and Mandy decided to have their
wedding on the island and so with Katy’s consent they started
to plan it. Lance ordered tents and had them set up on the island so
family would have a place to sleep while they were there. The new building
they had been working on was to be a new dinning hall, for use to the
islanders on rainy nights. Katy agreed to let them use that to have
the after party. Brandi ordered tons flowers. Mandy and Kim had flown
to America to get her a wedding dress. They had planned a huge wedding.
Since they could not choose between friend, who was going to be in the
wedding they all were going to be. The rest of the guys from Nsync were
going to be the best men and Katy, Kim, Nicoma and Brandi were going
to be brides maids. Their wedding colors were and white. Mandy even
called her family; they were happy to hear from her and were glad to
hear the news.
Soon the time grew closer and people started to arrive at the island.
The island was live with things happening. There was so much to do and
the day was fast approaching. And finally the day came. Mandy was in
Katy’s hut getting her dress on. “You look great.”
Brandi said. “Thanks I’m so happy, today I become Mrs. Mandy
Bass.” Mandy said twirling in place. “We’re all so
happy for both of you.” Katy said. “I know but I really
have you to thank, you’re the one who helped Lance get my ring.”
Mandy said. “That’s what friends are for.” Katy said.
Nicoma came in. “Here are your flowers.” Nicoma said handing
them to Mandy. Mandy took them then turned to the full-length mirror
that was in front of her. Her white dress came down to the floor like
a white river. “I wonder how the guys are doing?” Brandi
asked fixed her bride’s maid dress. “I don’t know.”
Mandy said.
Mean while a few huts down in Meko’s hut Lance was getting ready.
Lance buttoned his jacket and looked in the mirror. He flicked a piece
of lint off. “So how does it feel?” Joey asked patting Lance
on the back. “It feels great, but I’m so nervous.”
Lance said. “I think that normal.” JC said tying his shoe.
“Today I become the happiest man in the world.” Lance said
fixing his bow tie. “Their almost ready to start, Lance they need
you out here.” Meko said sticking his head in the door. Lance
smiled then followed him out. They had planed to Have the wedding it’s
self at the waterfall. They had set up and thing of the to stand on
and had a priest flown in. Lance took his place on the stand next to
the priest.
Back with Mandy the girls were making sure she had every thing. “Let’s
see some thing old?” Katy said. “I have my grandma’s
old necklace on.” Mandy said. “Something new?” Nicoma
asked. “My dress in new.” Mandy said. “Something blue?”
Brandi asked. Mandy pointed to a blue ring she was wearing. “Something
borrowed?” Kim asked. “No, I didn’t borrow anything
of any one.” Mandy said. “Here borrow my bracelet.”
Katy said handing it to her. “Thanks.” Mandy said putting
in on. “It’s time ladies.” Rodney said entering the
hut. Rodney had came over to see the wedding.
Back outside Lance was still standing there next to the priest waiting.
The music started and Kim and JC started to walk down the isle hand
in hand one the reached the end the split up and JC went over and stud
next to Lance. Kim made her way to the other side opposite JC. By this
time Katy and Justin were already making their way there. Once they
were there Joey and Nicoma came and then Chris and Brandi. They all
stud there a moment then the music changed and everyone stud up. Mandy
appeared at the end on the isle. Lance watched in awe as her father
walked her down the isle. Mandy was indeed a sight that day, with her
hair all fixed up and very thing.
Once they reached the end they stopped. “Who gives this girl to
be married?” The priest asked. “Her mother and I.”
Her father said then took Lance’s hand and Mandy’s and placed
them together. Then her father left and sat down next to her mother.
They stud there and looked deep into each other’s eyes. Mandy
was on the brink of crying.
“Is there any one here to day that sees any reason why these to
shouldn’t be married?” The priest asked, but no one said
a word. JC walked out and handed Lance the ring.
“Okay Lance please take her hand a repeat after
me. I James Lance Bass do take thee, Mandy Leigh , to be my wife to
have and to hold till death do us part.” The priest said and then
Lance repeated. Then placed the ring on Her finger. Kim came out and
gave Mandy, Lance‘s ring. “Okay Mandy now take his hand
and repeat after me. I Mandy Leigh , do take James Lance Bass, to be
my husband to have and to hold till death do us part.” The priest
said. Mandy repeated then put the ring on his finger. “By the
power invested in me, I now pronounce you, man and wife. You may now
kiss the bride.” The priest said. And then Lance pushed the veil
out of her face and then kissed her.
They kissed for a few seconds then they headed down the isle holding
hands while everyone else threw rice at them. They were followed by
Kim and JC. Who were followed by Katy and Justin and so on. Until everyone
was gone. They waited at the end and greeted people as the left. Then
they went back and took pictures. The pictures were beautiful with the
waterfall in the background. They spent several hours doing that then
they all headed for the dinning house for cake.
As it is tridition Mandy and Lance cut the cake together and then feed
each other the fist piece. The first bite they took was nice then they
smeared it in each other’s face. “I love you.” Lance
said wiping some icing off her nose. “I love you too.” Mandy
said. Kim handed them each a towel and they cleaned up a bit. Then they
sat back down with the others and ate cake. They were all sitting here
talking when Katy leaned over to Justin and whispered something in his
ear. The next thing they knew Justin passed out and fell to the floor.
“What on earth did you tell him?” Mandy asked. Katy smiled
and looked at her. “I told him I was pregnant.” Katy said
then took a bite of cake.
“You’re pregnant?” Joey asked. “Yeah.”
Katy said. “That’s great news, remind me to congratulate
the proud father once he comes to.” JC said. Everyone laughed.
“Are you sure it’s his?” Mandy asked jokingly. “Well,
you know...I’m just joking yes, I’m very sure it’s
his.” Katy said. “Are you really sure your pregnant?”
Nicoma asked. “I’m pretty sure, but to be safe I’ll
go see a doctor after this is all over.” Katy said. “I’m
sure Justin will keep us posted.” Lance said. “And you two
should keep me posted too.” Katy said. “We will.”
Mandy said. “I wish you would come with us, Katy.” Kim said.
“I can’t leave just yet, but I might come with you for a
while later.” Katy said.
Justin came to finally. “Good morning.” Katy said to him.
Justin climbed back into his chair. “Are you okay?” JC asked.
“Yeah, I’m fine I just thought I heard Katy say she was
pregnant, that’s all.” Justin said getting ready to take
I bite. “I did.” Katy said. Justin about choked. “Are
you sure?” He asked. “Pretty sure.” Katy said. “Aren’t
you happy?” Nicoma asked. “Yeah, but I wasn’t expecting
to be a dad so soon.” Justin said. “But you are happy though
right, because I can always get an abortion, if you want.” Katy
said. “Oh, no. Don’t do that. It’s wrong. We’ll
be okay, I think we can handle it.” Justin said turning to face
her and taking a hold of her hands. “That’s great to hear
I didn’t want to get one any way.” Katy said giving him
a kiss.
“That reminds, Lance when are we going to have kids?” Mandy
asked turning to her husband. “Kids?” Lance asked. “Yeah,
I was thinking two or three.” Mandy said. Lance nearly passed
out. Then he reached over and grabbed JC’s arm. “Help.”
Lance said. “Hey, you married her.” JC said then laughed.
“Hey, Brandi are we...” Chris started to say but Brandi
stopped him. “No, Chris.” Brandi said. “Not even one?“
Chris asked. “No, I have you I don’t need kids.” Brandi
said. Every on laughed again. They hung around for some time after that.
Lance got to meet Mandy’s family for the first time to she got
to meet his. Everything seemed to go well.
