Dream Date with Justin

Dana was lying on her bed reading the newest teen magazine. She was flipping through it when something caught her eye. On one page there was a huge picture of Justin Timberlake. Be side the picture it said. “You could win a dream date with Justin Timberlake from Nsync, enter today.” Dana smiled at the thought of getting to meet Justin; he was it for her. Mr. Right. There was a little voice in her head telling her to enter. “I would never win, that would be too cool.” Dana said to herself turning the page.

Later that night after dinner, Dana went back in her room. The magazine was still lying on the bed; it was open to that page. “I guess it wouldn’t hurt to enter, so what if you don’t win, at least you tried.” She told her self. She quickly cut out the entry from and filled it out. The next day she mailed it.

A few weeks past and she had forgotten about it, until she got a phone call. “Hello, is this Dana?” Some asked. “Yes, it is. Who is this?” She asked. “This is the editor of teen magazine; I was just calling to congratulate you on winning our contest.” They said. “What’s contest?” Dana asked. “The dream date with Justin Timberlake.” She said. Dana dropped the phone. It took her a minute to gather herself then she picked it back up. “I ‘m sorry did you just say I won a dream date with Justin Timberlake?” Dana asked in disbelief. “Yes, you did. Justin will be there to pick you up Friday night. I hope you have a great time.” She said. “Don’t worry I will.” Dana said fighting back screams of joy.

Then she hung up Dana could no longer help her self. She screamed as loud as she could and the quickly called her friends up to tell them. Most of them didn’t believe her but those that did were quick to run over. Friday was only 3 days away. Dana had no idea what to wear or how to act. With the help of her friends over the next 3-day Dana got everything together. She wanted this night to be prefect. They picked out the prefect baby blue dress to please Justin and got shoes to match.

Everything was ready, and then the night came. She got ready several hours early so she walk franticly around her house trying to figure out what she was going to so. She was making her friends nervous. “Everything is going to be fine, just go out and have fun.” One of them said. “Your right, I should just go out and have a good time.” Dana said taking a deep breath.

The doorbell rang. “That’s him, I’m not ready.” Dana said and then took off for her bedroom. One of her friends caught her and pulled her to the door. “You’re ready, now go.” They said and then opened the door before Dana had a chance to get away. She turned and saw Justin standing there with a stunned look on his face.

She looked him over; he was just as cute in person as he was on her posters. “Hi, you must be Dana.” He said. Dana just stared at him. Seeing him this close was amassing. For the first time Dana realized that he was real, a real guy not just some figment of her imagination. “Are you okay?” Justin asked. “Yeah, I’m fine. I never realized how...cute you really are.” Dana said. “Thanks, I guess. Are you ready to go?” He asked. “Yeah, let’s go.” Dana said closing the door behind her.

“I hope you don’t mind the Limo was in the shop.” Justin said opening the door of the Benz for her. “No, this is great.” Dana said getting in. Justin went around and got in on the driver’s side. “Where are we going?” Dana asked. “Out to eat.” Justin said. “Okay.” Dana said.

“Look I have to tell you I’m really nervous.” Justin said out of the blue. “You’re nervous?” She said. “I guess you would be too, wouldn’t you.” Justin said as he started the car. “Just a little.” Dana said sarcastically. The car got quite as it went down the road. “I like your dress.” Justin said trying to start a conversation. “Thanks my friends helped me pick it out.” Dana said. “It looks good on you.” Justin said.

They got to the restaurant and got out. There were tons of people there taking pictures. Dana got really nervous. She felt Justin placed his hand on her back. “Smile, so it at least looks like your enjoying yourself.” Justin whispered in her ear, knowing full well that she was having a good time. She could feel his breath on her cheek. She smiled and felt her self blush a little and the flashes went off. Justin’s hand never left her back until they were inside.

“That was crazy.” She said. “That’s my life.” Justin said. They were seated in one of the most romantic booths in the whole restaurant. ‘This is so nice.” Dana said. “I’m glad you like it.” Justin said. “You don’t date much do you?” Dana asked. “No, I don’t. Is it that obvious?” Justin asked. Dana nodded. “I’ve been dating Brittany so long, so I haven’t had a chance to date too many other girls.” Justin explained. “I see.” Dana said.

“So are you having fun?” Justin asked once they got their food. “Yeah, is this all you do on dates?” Dana asked. “That’s all Brit and me can do. Well we do go to the movies some times.” Justin said. “You poor guy.” Dana signed. “I know you know a lot about me, but I hardly know a thing about you. So why don’t you tell me something?” Justin said. “I’m boring.” Dana said. “I find you to be very interesting.” Justin said with a smile. Dana looked at him. His blue eyes were just shining back at her. “You have the most amassing eyes; I’ve never seen anything like them.” Dana said. “Thank you, but there you go again talking about me. What about you?” Justin asked.

Dana smiled and then went on to talk a little bit about herself. Justin looked at his watch. “I should be going soon.” He said. “Busy day tomorrow?” Dana asked. Justin laughed. “You have no idea.” Justin said. “I wish this night would never end.” Dana said. “Me too, but sadly it has to sooner or later.” Justin said. “Yeah I know.” Dana sighed. “So was it worth it?” Justin asked. “Was what worth it?” Dana asked. “Going through all that trouble to get a date with me.” Justin asked. “Yes, it was you were everything I hoped for and more.” Dana said. Justin just smiled.

“Come on it’s late let me take you home.” Justin said getting up and then offering her his hand. She gladly took it and then they headed for the door. “Do you think the press is still out there?” Dana asked. “Of course they are they never sleep.” Justin said. Sure enough when they got out side there was and lot of bright lights as people took pictures. Again Justin guided her through them and to the car, which was waiting for them.

Once at her house Justin walked her to the door. Dana knew it was going to be hard to leave him, but she knew he had to go. “So I guess this is it.” Justin said. “Yeah I guess so.” Dana said. Justin towered over her. She motioned for him to lower his head as if she had something to whisper to him. When he was close enough, she kissed him on the cheek and then went inside before Justin could say anything. She watched him from the window and he put and hand on his cheek where she had kissed it. He smiled and then turned and headed for his car. With in minutes he was gone.

The next day she saw pictures in the paper of her and Justin, she cut them out and saved them. About a week later she got a box in the mail. In it she found a dozen roses and a note that said. “Thanks for the kiss. I had a lot of fun. We’ll have to do that again some time.” Love Justin. Dana felt her heart sink and then she felt back on her bed and kissed the letter. She was amazed the letter even smelled like him.
