Road Trip

Ally waited patiently outside the hotel. She was waiting
for a friend. Her friend had e-mailed her a few weeks ago, telling her
to come down to Orlando because they had something special planned.
Ally had no idea what was going on but she didn’t care she figured
it would be fun. She ran her hand through her brownish-blonde hair and
let out a sigh. Her friend’s name was Becky; she had meet Becky
on FuMan Skeeto. She didn’t really know a whole lot about her
but they had been talking for months. Ally was kind of worried about
meeting Becky.
It wasn’t long till a huge bus pulled up right in front of her.
The door opened and a fairly tall young girl stepped out. The girl eyed
Ally. “Are you Ally?” She asked. Ally paused for a moment
and then answered. “Yeah, who are you?” Ally asked. “I’m
Becky! Come one lets go.” Becky said helping Ally with her things.
“Where are we going?” Ally asked as Becky pushed her on
to the bus. “We’re going on a road trip.” Becky said
as she set Ally’s thing on the floor and then shut the door.
Ally looked around the bus in awe. There were a few other people on
it. The bus was big a lot like a tour bus. “Just set your stuff
anywhere.” Becky said. Ally set her stuff aside and then turned
to the other girls. “Hi, I’m Ashleigh.” One of them
said. “Hi, I’m Ally.” Ally said waving to them. “Oh
this is Sandy. She’s shy.” Ashleigh added. “Oh, I
know how she feels.” Ally said. “Have a seat, so we can
get started.” Becky said sitting down and starting the bus. “Where
are we going?” Ally asked. “We’re going on a road
trip.” Ashleigh said.
“Oh, I see.” Ally said and then turned her head and looked
out the window. “We have to make a few more stops.” Becky
said. And so they did the stopped and picked up two more people. One’s
name was Liz and the other’s name was Roo. Roo was a very interesting
person. She had chin length orange hair with sliver streaks. Liz on
the other hand was like the other she had brown hair and however she
was crazy at tomes. Becky had meet all of them on Fuman Skeeto. “Now
are we ready?” Sandy asked finally speaking up after a long time.
“No, we have to make one more stop.” Becky said.
“Really now who are we going to pick up?” Liz asked. “You’ll
see.” Becky said smiling. They drove a while until the came to
a part of Orlando where the rich lived. They drove down the street until
they came to a cretin house. Then Becky stopped the bus and put it in
park. She left it running and climbed out of the seat and went for the
door. “Where are you going?” Roo asked. “I’ll
be right back don’t worry.’ Becky said and them left. Ashleigh
got up and watched Becky walk up to the door.
Becky rang the doorbell and a young girl came to the door. “Hi,
Mimi are you ready to do this?” Becky asked peering past Mimi
into the house. “Yeah, I’m ready are you?” Mimi asked.
“Yeah.” Becky said. Mimi opened the door and let Becky in.
“Are they ready? Yeah I got their stuff ready last night.”
Mimi said as she led Becky into the living room. Their five young faces
greeted her. “Hey fellas, this is my friend Becky.” Mimi
said. JC turned and eyed Becky. “Hi.” Joey said with a smile.
They rest of the guys didn’t turn from the TV. “Hey guys
Becky has some thing really cool to show you it’s out in her Bus.”
Mimi said. “Bring it in here.” Lance said. Becky looked
at Mimi. “She can’t it’s too heavy for her, just come
out and see. It’ll only take a minute.” Mimi said.
“Wait for a commercial.” Justin said. “Okay.”
Becky said softly. Soon a commercial came on and Justin jumped up out
of his seat. “Let’s hurry so we don’t miss anything.”
He said. "This better be good.” Chris said. “You’ll
love it.” Mimi lied. Once they got to the door Becky stopped.
“You have to close your eyes; it’s a surprise.” Becky
said. Mimi looked at Becky in confusion. “Oh, yeah it’s
a surprise.” Mimi said. “Okay, but hurry it up already.”
JC said closing his eyes. “Now don’t peek.” Mimi said
as she took Lance and Joey’s hands. Becky followed leading JC,
Justin, and Chris to the bus. The others that were waiting in the bus
turned and saw what was coming. They could help be get happy. Becky
put her figure to her lip telling them to be quite.
“I think Becky wants us to be quite.” Liz said not sure
if any one else had seen Becky’s gesture. “Okay.”
Ally said. When Mimi got to the bus door she opened it. “Keep
your eyes closed.” Mimi said. “Are we there yet?”
Lance asked. “Not yet hold on just a little further.” Mimi
said bring them in further so Becky and the others could get in. The
other were as quite as they could be.
“Just stay right there.” Becky said as she left them and
shut the door and locked it. She got in the driver’s seat and
started off down the road before telling the guys it was safe to open
their eyes. They opened them. They looked around in shock. “What’s
going on here?” JC asked. “We’re going on a road trip.”
Mimi said. “No we aren’t.” Justin said. “Yeah
you are.” Mimi said pushing him down into that seat between Liz
and Roo. “We can’t go with you.” Joey said realizing
they were moving.
“Why not you have a week off from touring?”
Mimi asked while the others listened intently. “We just can’t.”
Joey explained. “Please stop this thing so we can get off.”
JC asked facing Becky. “No.” Becky said with out turning
her eyes from the road.
“I can’t believe you set us up, Mimi.” Lance said.
“Oh come on live a little, you guys never have any fun.”
Mimi said. “We have fun all the time.” Chris said. “Name
one time you had fun when you weren’t working?” Roo asked.
Chris thought for a minute put didn’t answer. “That’s
what I thought.” Roo said. “I hate to say it but it looks
like we’re stuck.” JC said eyeing Ashleigh. Ashleigh blushed
and lowered her head. “You can’t be giving up that easy.
We’re missing our show.” Justin wined. “Justin, there
is a TV in back if you want to watch TV.” Ally said. “There
is?” Justin asked as he got up to check it out.
Lance sat down in the seat Justin had been in. “So where are we
going?” Lance asked. “It’s a road trip we can go anywhere
you want.” Becky said. “We’ve already been every where.”
Chris said recalling their last tour. “I’m sure there is
some place you haven’t been that you want to see.” Ally
said. The remaining guys thought for a moment. “I have it all
planned out already. You guys are going to have fun. I promise and if
you don’t you never have to talk to us again.” Becky said.
“That’s sounds like a good deal.” Justin yelled from
the back room. The other four guys just smiled.
“If we’re going to be hanging out for a while we better
get to know names.” JC said taking a seat next to Ashleigh. “Sure.”
Ashleigh said clearing her throat. They all took turns introducing them
selves. Which helped to break the ice some. “Are we there yet?”
Chris asked. “Don’t even start. We have a long drive ahead
of us.” Becky said. “We should play a game.” Liz said.
“Okay, let play spin the bottle.” Joey said. “Um,
No let’s not.” Lance said. “Party-pooper.” Joey
growled. “Let’s play cards.” JC said. “I think
I’ll pass. I’m going to go see what Justin’s doing.”
Mimi said. “Wait I’ll go with you.” Roo said following
Mimi into the back room.
They sat around and played games for some time. They were really getting
to be good friends. “Oh, we have to make a pit stop.” Becky
said looking at the gas thing. “Great, can we buy some junk food?”
Sandy asked with a smile. “Yeah that’s a great idea. Some
one bring me back some Twinkies.” Joey said getting his wallet
out. “Why can’t you get your own?” Roo asked coming
in from the back room. “Yeah, right. I can’t go in.”
Joey said. “Yeah do you have any idea what would happen if we
did?” Lance asked. The girls laughed. “I see your point.
I’ll bring you some Twinkies.” Ally said taking the money
from Joey and they headed for the door.
Becky got out to pump the gas and Ally went inside. It wasn’t
long before Sandy and Liz joined her. “Ally wait up.” Liz
said catching up with her. “Okay.” Ally said. They went
in together and got Joey’s Twinkies along with a few other things.
“Lance is so cute.” Liz said out of no where. “Yeah,
he is. You like him too?” Ally asked. “Yeah, this isn’t
going to make us fight is it?” Liz asked. “What’s
going to make you fight?” Sandy asked. “We both like Lance.”
Ally said. “You’re joking? I like him too.” Sandy
said. The three of them laughed. “We have to promise not to fight
over him.
That would ruin the trip.” Sandy said. “Your
right, but what if he likes one of us?” Liz asked. “Well
if he, on his own free will likes one of us then the other two will
just have to be okay with that because I mean how can we control Lance’s
mind?” Ally said.
“Okay, I think I got it.” Sandy said half confused. They
paid for their stuff and were about to leave when Sandy felt some one
tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see a young blonde standing
beside her. “Can I help you?” Sandy asked. “I’m
sorry I over heard you talking earlier.” The girl said. “Okay.”
Sandy said not sure how to answer. “Do you really know Lance?”
She asked. Sandy looked at the others. They just shrugged. “Maybe
why?” Sandy asked. “Lance from Nsync? I would love to meet
them. They seem so sweet.” She replied. “They are.”
Sandy said with out thinking. “So you do know them.” The
girl said with a smile. “I didn’t say that.” Sandy
said trying to save herself. “Yes you did. Oh please can I meet
them. I won’t freaky out. I promise.” She said.
“Can you wait right here for a moment?” Sandy asked realizing
how close they were to the bus. “Sure.” She said and then
watched Sandy make her way to the bus. “Hey guys?” Sandy
asked. “What is it?” Roo asked. “This girl stopped
me in the store; she wants to meet Nsync.” Sandy said. Chris turned
and looked out the window. He saw that Blonde still standing there.
“She looks harmless bring her in.” Chris said. “Are
you sure?” Sandy asked. “Yeah. Why not?” JC said with
a smile. Sandy went back out side. “You can come in.” Sandy
said as she got closer to the Blonde. “Really? Wow this is great.”
She said as Sandy led her over to the bus.
As she entered she was greeted with severl sets of eyes. One of which
was Chris’. “Hi.” She said softly pushing her hair
behind her ear. “I didn’t get your name.” Sandy said.
“It’s Lucki.” She said. “Lucki?” Joey
asked. “Yeah, it’s more or less of a nickname but that is
what every one calls me.” Lucki said. “Do you want to come
with us?” Justin asked reentering the main room. “Where
are you going?” Lucki asked. “We’re not sure, it’s
just a road trip.” Ashleigh said. “Um, I guess I can come.”
Lucki said. “Don’t you need to ask your parents?”
Ally asked. “No, I’m over 18.” Lucki said. “Great
welcome aboard Chris said wrapping his arm around her.
Lucki felt as if she was going to melt. “Come on have a seat I’ll
introduce you to everyone.” Chris said. Soon Becky came back.
She was shocked to find some one she didn’t know there but she
figured it was okay, so she started the bus and took off down the road
again. “You still haven’t told us where we are going.”
Roo said. “I know, but that’s because I’m not sure
myself. I thought we would just drive around until we figured out where
we wanted to go.” Becky said. “I want to go to new York.”
Lucki said. “I want to go to L.A.” Ally said. “Those
two cities are awfully far apart.” JC said. “Yeah, we can
try to go to both of them. We’ll head for New York, since it’s
on this side of the US.” Becky said turning on to an interstate.
“What are we going to do when we get there?” Chris asked.
“What ever we want to.” Becky said. “I just think
it would be neat to see new York, it’s such a big place.”
Lucki said. “It is a big place.” Lance said recalling their
last visit. “It’s also a long drive so what are we going
to do to make the time go faster?” Ashleigh asked. “Yeah
you guys are on the road all the time what do you do for fun?”
Liz asked. “We do all kinds of stupid things.“ Joey said.
“Yeah let’s not go there.” Lance said.
“I know lets take over Justin’s TV and watch a movie.”
JC said. “Okay but just because there are a whole bunch of chicks
here doesn’t mean we’re watching a chick flick.” Chris
said as the group got up. “I’ll stay and keep Becky company.”
Mimi said sitting behind the driver’s seat so she could talk to
her. They rest of the headed into the back room. Becky and Mimi heard
Justin wipper as the took over his TV. Mimi giggled, “He’s
such a baby.”
“He’s your friend.” Becky said. “Yeah well,
what can I say he has his moments.” Mimi said. “How did
you meet them away?” Becky asked. “I Meet Joey at a concert
and Joey introduced me to the others.” Mimi said. “Cool,
I’d never have that kind of luck.” Becky said.
They spent most of the day watching movies. Mimi took over driving for
Becky around dark. Becky went back to see what was going on. The back
room was dark but she could see well enough. Most of the people were
laying on the floor. One was JC who had fallen asleep in his popcorn.
Becky couldn’t help be laugh. “Have a seat Becky, it’s
just getting good.” Joey said. Patting the spot next to him. “What
about Mimi?” Becky asked. “I’ll go sit with her, I’m
not really into this movie.” Roo said as she made her way to the
door trying not to step on people. “Okay, thanks.” Becky
said as she made her way over to Joey. As she sat down she felt Joey
wrap his arm around her.
She felt weak in his big strong arm so she rested herself against him.
She could hear him breathing and feel his chest move with every breathe.
She felt safe there and soon fell asleep before she even knew what was
happening in the movie.
When the movie was over they turned on a few lights. They saw how much
of a mess they had made. Chris, Ally, Sandy and Lance all had a popcorn
fight and now it was all over. Ashleigh had been sitting next to JC
and since he was a sleep she had put Popcorn in his hair. “Awe
Joey look what you did.’ Justin said pointing to Becky. Joey looked
at her and realized for the first time that she was asleep. “It’s
alright.” Joey said rubbing her arm gelntly. “We’ll
just let her sleep.” He added. “That’s too cute.”
Sandy said as she took a picture. Joey smiled and blushed a little.
‘You’ll have to give me a copy of that.” He said trying
not to move too much and wake Becky. “Sure.” Sandy said
as she snapped a few more pictures of the guys including JC.
“We should all turn in I think.” Liz said. “Yeah but
who’s going to drive after Mimi?” Ally asked. “I can,
I mean you guys did let me come along.” Lucki said. “You
can if you want but you don’t have to.” Sandy said. “I
want to help.’ Lucki said. “Okay you better go talk to Mimi
then.” Chris said. Lucki smiled and then made her way to the front
of the bus while the rest of them got there sleeping bags and stuff
out.
“Mimi?” Lucki said. “What?’ Mimi asked softly.
“I’m going to take over driving after you if that’s
okay.” Lucki said. “Yeah that’s great, why don’t
you sleep for an hour or so and then I’ll wake you up.”
Mimi said. “Okay.” Lucki said. Lucki went back to where
the other were. “What did she say?” Ashleigh asked. “I’m
going to sleep for an hour or so and then she’s going to wake
me up.” Lucki said. “Cool, when you get up, wake me up too
and I’ll stay up and keep you company.” Chris said. “That
would be great.” Lucki said as she got ready to sleep.
They all went to sleep execpt for Roo and Mimi. They stayed up and drove
and talked about things. As it turned out they had a little bit in common.
They were both obsessive about things, silly things. Roo even started
to tell Mimi about this guy she liked named Rick Campanelli. One thing
was for sure there were a lot friendships budding on this trip. About
an hour passed and Roo went back and woke Lucki up. Lucki then woke
Chris up. the two of them headed up front where Mimi had already parked
the bus and then quickly told her where to go. Mimi told her that when
she got tired to wake Becky or some one else up.
Lucki sat down and started the bus down the road again. They hadn’t
gotten far before Mimi and Roo were sound asleep. Lucki was shy at first
but Chris was easy to get along with. She drove while he sat beside
her and made silly comments about everything. They talked about his
mom and sisters. From what she could tell he seemed like a real sweet
guys. They talked about her famliy too. They got to talking about her
older brothers, which sparked a converastion that seemed out of no where.
She was talking about how overportective her brothers were and how they
would always intimidate her boyfriends enough so they would break up
with her. To witch Chris replied, “If I was your boyfriend they
wouldn’t be able to scare me away with a stick. If they tried
I would just break out some kung fu and beat them up.”
Here was a guy, a very cute famous guys, she had just meet talking about
what he would do if they were dating. Lucki was sure what to say. So
she jokingly replied, “I bet you would.” “No, not
really I’d problably be so scared I’d run the other way,
but it would be worth a try.” Chris said. Lucki laughed and looked
over at him. “Your a really funny guy.” She said. “Yeah
well the guys just think I’m annoying.” Chris said looking
at his feet as he spoke. “Well you are but it’s funny.”
Lucki said. “Gee thanks.” Chris said in a low voice.
They had a couple good laughs and before they knew it, it was 4 a.m.
“Do you realize how long I’ve been driving?” Lucki
asked. “Yeah, time flies when your having fun.” Chris said.
“Should we wake Becky yet?” Lucki asked. “Are you
tried?” Chris asked. “I can go a little bit longer.”
Lucki said. And so they drove a little further before pulling into a
gas station. Lucki got out to go buy something to eat and Chris went
back to get Becky. He tipped Becky a few times and then she opened her
eyes. “It’s your turn to drive again.” Chris said
in a low voice. “Oh, okay.” Becky said removing Joey’s
arm from around her. Joey moaned softly but didn’t wake up. “Do
you want me to wake him so he can keep you company?” Chris asked.
Becky eyed the sleeping man. “No, it’ll only be a few hours
before some one wakes up.” Becky said making her way the front.
She meet Lucki coming in the door. “Good night.” Becky said
as she got behind the wheel. “Okay, have fun.” Lucki said
before disappearing into the dark back room. Becky pulled out and headed
for New York.
She drove for a few hours. She saw the sun come up. The bus slowly filled
with light. It was around 7 or 8 a.m. She jumped as she felt a hand
on her arm. She looked over to see JC sitting beside her. “You
scared me.” Becky said fairly loudly. “I’m sorry.
I woke up and I saw you out here alone so I thought I would come talk
to you.” JC explained. “I’m glad your here, I was
getting kind of lonely.” Becky said. “Cool, why do I have
popcorn in my hair?” JC asked as he removed one of the few remaining
pieces. “It could because you fell asleep in your popcorn bowl
or that Ashleigh put it there.” Becky said. “She did?”
JC asked. Becky shook her head. “I’ll get her back for it.”
JC said with a smile.
“I bet you will.” Becky said. They both looked at each other
then giggled. It wasn’t long before they heard someone else moving
around. They both looked up and saw Liz and Sandy walk out of the back
room and sit behind them. “Good morning.” JC said. “Hi,
JC.” Sandy said still half asleep. “Well aren’t we
just a ray of sunshine today.” Becky said. “Well I find
it hard to sleep to sleep on a moving object.” Sandy said. “Really?
The movement of the bus always puts me to sleep.” JC said. “Yeah
but you are always on a bus, this is new to us.” Liz said. “I
see.” JC said. “How much further to New York?” Liz
asked. “I’m not sure but I’m guessing we should be
there by dark.” Becky said.
Some time passed then it wasn’t long before everyone was up, except
Lucki and Chris. They made a quick stop at Burger King for some food.
Then Roo took over driving for awhile. They all sat in the front part
of the bus, because no one wanted to wake Lucki and Chris. Lance was
showing them some ideas they had for the next Nsync Video. They all
seemed to like the idea.
They stopped the conversation when Chris walked out of the back room.
Chris rubbed the sleep form his eyes and then looked around the room.
“Is Lucki up yet?” Ashleigh asked. “No but she was
moving around a lot, so she might be up soon.” Chris said joining
their circle. “We were talking about the next Nsync video.”
Ally said filling Chris in. “Lance do you tell people everything?”
Chris asked. Lance just smiled. “Well what are we going to do
now?” Mimi asked. “I know let’s play truth or dare.”
Joey said. “That’s a stupid game.” JC said. “Come
on JC it might be fun.” Ally said. JC gave in so they started
to play. Since it was Joey’s idea he went first.
“Truth or dare, Joey?” Sandy asked. “Truth.”
Joey said. Sandy thought for a moment. She smiled and then turned to
him. “Joey what do you really think of Becky?” Sandy asked.
Joey lowered his head and then blushed before answering. “I think
she great. She’s really nice and she’s very pretty.”
Joey said in a low voice. Becky blushed as he spoke. “Okay next
person.” Joey said quickly to change the subject. “Ally
it’s your turn.” Sandy said. “Truth or dare?”
Lance asked. “Truth.” Ally said. “Who do you think
is the cutest guy in Nsync?” Lance asked with out eve stopping
to think. Ally sat there for a minute. “I’d have to say
you are.” Ally said. “Really me?” Lance asked half
shocked. Ally shook her head yes. “If I’m not careful Lance
will take my place as cutest member of Nsync.” Justin laughed.
“No one could ever take your place.” Joey said rubbing Justin’s
head. Justin pushed his hand away. “You’ll mess up my hair.”
Justin yelled. Joey raised one eyebrow but said nothing. “Okay,
moving right along.” Lance said to keep things going. “Becky
your turn.” Joey said with a smile. “Truth or dare?”
Joey asked. “I don’t think I want to do a dare from you
so I’ll take truth.” Becky said. “Who was your first
kiss?” Joey asked. Becky gave a quick answer.
Lucki came out of the back. “What is going on?” Lucki asked.
“We’re playing a game have a seat.” Liz said. “Okay.”
Lucki said as she set down. “Doesn’t any one want to do
a dare?” Justin asked. “No, I don’t trust you people.”
Becky said. “Why don’t you do one then hot stuff?”
Lucki asked. “I will are you going to give me one?” Justin
replied. “Yeah sure.” Lucki said and then thought a minute.
Chris leaned over and whispered something in her ear. “That’s
a good one.” Lucki laughed. Chris smiled and then looked at Justin.
Justin looked at the two of them confused. “You want a dare Justin?
I got one for you.” Chris said with an evil grin on his face.
Justin sat up straight and got ready to hear what they were going to
make him do. “Shave your head.” Lucki said. “WHAT!?!”
Justin yelled running his hand trough his hair. “You said dare.”
Sandy said. “But, my hair?” Justin wined. Ally handed him
a razor. “Get to it boy.” Ally said with a smile. “Come
on it will grow back.” Lucki said. “I know but...”
Justin said eyeing the razor. “No buts.” Chris said.
“Are you chicken?” Ashleigh asked. “No.” Justin
snapped and just to prove her wrong he got up and went over to the bathroom
with the razor. “Do you need help?” Sandy asked. “Maybe.”
Justin said. Ally got up and went with him into the bathroom. The others
could hear Justin whimpering.
“Okay, that’s enough of that game.” JC said. “You’re
telling me.” Sandy said. “So what are we going to do in
New York when we get there?” Lucki asked. “I thought we
would look at the sights and then get a hotel and go swimming.”
Becky said. “That would be fun and let me guess we get to pay
for all this stuff.” JC said. “Yeah that was kind of the
plan.” Mimi said. “Figures.” JC wined. “It’s
not like you guys are broke. I spend tons buying Nsync stuff, so I know
you got money.” Ashleigh said.
Some time passed and then the bathroom door opened. Ally was the first
to come out. She did this silly little noise and then Justin came out.
He ran his hand over his head and looked at the ground. “Oh my.”
Mimi said. The others laughed a little. “Does it look that bad?”
Justin asked. “No, it’s just a lot different than the fro.”
Sandy said. “You’re telling me.” Justin said.
“We’re there.” Roo said as she pasted a sign that
said welcome to New York. “Yeah, what are we going to do first?”
Chris asked. “Let’s go see the Statue of Liberty.”
Ally said. “No let’s go see the shops.” Liz said.
They pulled into one of the nicest hotel and got some rooms first. And
then they all got ready to go out. The guys put on hats and shades to
try to hind how they were. They all decided to go the Statue of Liberty
first and then they would hit a few more tourist spots before hitting
the shops.
“It’s big.” Roo said as they took a boat out to the
statue. “You aren’t kidding.” Liz said. The guys paid
their way in. “Thank you.” Lucki said as Chris handed her,
her ticket. “You’re very welcome.” Chris said then
turned sharply as Joey elbowed him in the ribs. He looked at Joey for
a minute. Joey winked and then nodded toward Lucki. Chris smacked him
and then ran to catch up with Lucki. After a quick tour of the statue
they headed back to the main land for lunch. They ate at a nice little
cafe.
Next they decided to go to one of the many museums in New York. “Museums
are boring.” Roo wined. “Oh come on we could all use a little
class.” Sandy said. “Speak for your self.” Ashleigh
said then laughed, know she didn’t really have any more class
than the others. They split up into 3 groups. Joey, Becky, Sandy and
Mimi were one. JC, Ashleigh, Roo and Justin were another one. And Chris,
Lance, Liz, Ally, and Lucki were the last one. They were going to meet
up at 5 at the main door and then they were going to hit the shops.
It’s was about 3:30, Chris, Lance, Liz, Ally and Lucki were all
standing there looking at the mummy display when the heard an awful
sound. Minutes later they saw JC and Justin come running through in
a full sprint. Chris looked at they and then turned and hid his face
as a heard of teenyboppers come running through. Lance did the same
and as soon as they all pasted they turned back to the others. Soon
Ashleigh and Roo came through the door. They were tired and out of breath.
Both of the sat down on a near by bench to catch their breath. “Does
this happen often?” Roo asked. “Yeah.” Lance said.
“Should we go help them?” Liz asked. “No, they’ll
be fine. They know how to handle that kind of thing.” Chris said.
Ashleigh and Roo walked around with them and at 5 they headed back to
the main door where JC and Justin were waiting. “Did you have
fun?” Lucki asked. They both just gave her a mean look. Joey,
Becky, Sandy and Mimi joined them shortly after. “Can we hurry
up and get out of here before those teenies come back.” Justin
begged. “Sure.” Becky said heading for the door.
They once again loaded up onto the bus and headed to the shops. The
stopped to eat some dinner first. The decided to stick together this
time. They were in one of the shops when Becky found this dress she
liked. It was really cute. Joey noted how she was looking at it. “You
would look great in that dress.” Joey said. Becky turned away
from it. “You’re joking right?” She asked. “No,
I’m not. If you want it I will buy it for you.” Joey said.
“That’s sweet but I don’t want it.” Becky lied.
“At least try it on.” Joey said handing it to her. “No.”
Becky said “Please.” Joey said batting his big brown eyes
at her. “I hate it when you do that.” She snapped. “Do
what?” Joey asked confused. “Never mind.” Becky said
taking the dress from him and then headed for the dressing room. Joey
followed closely behind.
“Are you having a good time?” Liz asked Lance. “Yeah.”
Lance said shocked to see her. “Are you?” He added. “I’m
having a blast.” Liz said. Lance pulled a shirt off the rack and
looked at it. “That one would look good on you.” Liz said.
“Do you think so?” Lance asked holding it up to himself
and then looking in the mirror. “Yeah.” Liz said. “I
really don’t need any more clothes.” Lance said. “Are
you g guys about ready to go?” Sandy asked. “Yeah, sure
let me go pay for this.” Lance said taking the shirt up to the
counter.
They got out side and Roo looked down at her watch. “Oh, my it’s
almost 10.” She said. “We really should be getting back
to the hotel.” Mimi said. “Yeah maybe we can go swimming.”
Justin said. “The pool closes at 10.” Ally said. “Not
when you’re famous.” JC replied with a grin. “You
guys can do that?” Lucki asked. “Yeah, we can do almost
any thing.” JC said. With that hey all headed back to the hotel.
JC talked to the manegment about getting some extra swim time. They
gladly agreed to let them swim as long as the locked up when they were
done.
They all got their swimsuits on and headed for the pool. Joey was the
first one in. He ran and did a cannon ball into the cool water. He had
a splash that got everyone wet. “Why don’t you leave some
water in the pool?” Lance asked wiping the water off his face.
Lance then went over and lipped in to the hot tub. Lucki sat down on
the edge and put her lags in. “You know what they say, ladies
first.’ Chris said and then left Lucki and through her into the
water. When Lucki came up she brushed her blonde hair out of her face.
“I’m going to kill you.” She yelled getting out and
chasing Chris. When she finally caught him she wrapped her arm around
him and then fell into the pool with him.
Ally and Sandy joined Lance in the hot tub. “I think it’s
safe in here.” Ally said. “Yeah.” Lance said leaning
back into the water. Roo and Justin both came running down and jumped
into the pool at the same time sending water flying every where. JC
and Ashleigh joined Ally, Lance and Sandy in the hot tub. They messed
around for a while then Chris decided to have a chicken fight in the
pool. He got Lucki up on his shoulders. Joey begged Becky and finally
got her to get on his shoulder so the could play. Needless to say Chris
and Lucki won.
“They crack me up.” Ally said watching them from the hot
tub. “I bet we could beat them.” Ashleigh said looking at
JC. “Yeah let’s go find out.” JC said taking her hand
and pulling her out and over into the pool. The water seemed really
cold after the hot tub. But she climbed up on JC’s shoulders and
started to fight with Lucki. Finally she made Lucki fall. “Yeah
we rock.” JC yelled almost knocking Ashleigh off.
Justin, Roo and Liz were sitting on the side cheering them on. “Hey
Lance why don’t you try?” Justin asked. “Sure why
not, you want to be my partner?” Lance asked looking at Sandy.
“Sure.” Sandy said getting up and following him to the pool.
She quickly got up on his shoulders and started to play. They fought
for a long time then Sandy finally hit the water. “Roo I think
we need to show them how it’s done.” Justin said. “Okay.”
Roo said climbing on his shoulders. “I think we have one last
person to beat.” Ashleigh said as Justin and Roo approached them.
“This will be easy.” JC said. Needless to say Justin and
Roo won. They took turns the rest of the night and played other silly
pool games. About 2 a.m. They decided to go to bed.
The locked up the pool and then headed to their rooms. In the morning
they all meet down stair and had breakfast. “So what’s next
on our list?” Liz asked once everyone was there. “You guys
we are really having a good time but we really need to be getting back
soon.” Lance said. “Yeah I think we all do. Maybe we can
get together again and go to L.A next time.” Becky said. “Defiantly
.” Justin said. “We should head back this morning.”
JC said. “As soon as we pack up we will go.” Mimi said.
They ate quickly and then packed the bus back up. “I’ll
drive first.” Lucki said hopping in the driver’s seat. “Sure.”
Becky said. The trip home was a lot like the trip there only this time
they were closer. “Why don’t you girls give us your addresses
and phone numbers so we can keep in touch?” Chris said getting
a piece of paper out. Each of them wrote down their address and number
and then handed it back to Chris. Chris then wrote down Lucki’s
as she told him. The guys also gave them their numbers just in case.
“Want to play truth or dare?” Ally asked. “No.”
Justin quickly snapped running his hand over his head. They all laughed.
They listen a while to JC as he tried to come up with new songs for
the next album. They were having so much fun it seemed like no time
before they were back in Orlando. Becky was driving now and she pulled
up in front of the house where she had picked the guys up. “Do
you want to come in for a minute?” Joey asked. “Maybe some
other time, we all better be getting home.” Lucki said. “Yeah
my mom is going to kill me.” Sandy said. “Some other time
then. See you girls.” Lance said getting off the bus. They all
waved good bye.
Becky dropped the others off before taking the bus back to the place
she had rented it. Talk of their trip spread across FuMan. They remained
closed friends. A couple weeks later they all received mail form the
guys. Each contained some tickets to a Nsync show near them and a letter
that closed by saying. “Thanks for showing us a good time. We
really owe you one. We hope to see you at the concert. Sincerely your
friends, Nsync.”
Becky however got some thing else. She got a box. When she opened in
she saw the dress she had tried on in New York along with a letter from
Joey. Becky was happy and yet mad. She had told him not to buy it for
her. She would take that up with him later.
